Sophisticated Sitting Room

I recently had the pleasure of working with some local clients on decorating and updating their home.  They had already purchased some furniture and a rug, but just needed help pulling it all together.

We added a gorgeous mirror, pair of candle sconces, pair of tall floor lamps, blue bordered white linen draperies, a few items for the coffee table, and new throw pillows-

they didn’t need much to finish things off, but I’m always surprised at what a big difference a few well-placed items can make!

We also finished off the entry and stairwell…

In this area, we decided to paint the bannister black for a nice contrast and then added a pretty metal and glass etagere…

we kept the accessories there simple with a touch of their accent blue color and silver as well as a little “coastal touch” with a large piece of white coral.  I just love how this area turned out!
