New House Update…

For those of you who have been following this blog for a while, you may know that we have been renting our current home for several years, but at the first of this year, started our home search to buy a house on the water.

I happily announced earlier this year that we were "under contract" to buy a house (a REALLY cute coastal cottage on a saltwater canal), and after months and months of waiting (the property is a "short sale/pre-foreclosure sale") we…

STILL HAVE NO NEWS TO REPORT!!! 

Short sales are traditionally very long ordeals, the sellers and the banks have to come to an agreement, and due to the housing market crash of recent years, the banks are inundated with short sale and foreclosure homes with lots of paperwork.  Soooo….

WE ARE STILL WAITING…

I think waiting and hoping and praying would take it's toll on anyone, but for someone whose entire career and livelihood is renovating/decorating homes, it is particularly torturous for me!

So we are not sure where to go from here, we might give up and start looking around for something else, we might just keep hanging on… we just don't know!

Thanks for all your enthusiasim and support these past few months, and I promise you all will be the first to know after we know, if we get to buy our little cottage on the water…you know I will have so many projects and room makeovers to share with you when we do!!!
