Kitchen Table Centerpiece- Four Ways
I hope everyone’s week is off to a great start, thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I love styling pretty dining tables and playing with various centerpieces and seasonal decor. I must say, now that we only have one dining area in our home (our formal dining room was converted to my home office) the kitchen table has become the main hub of our home!
Today I want to share with you all 4 simple centerpiece ideas for your dining table, and it all starts with this humble wood crate made from reclaimed wood that I found on Amazon.

I love this piece because it is long and narrow and it can hold a variety of decorative items…
Centerpiece 1: The first way I styled the wood crate is with several faux boxwoods…this is perfect for every day living, it’s not too high, so you don’t have to move it during a meal and it softens the table with a little greenery. If you preferred live plants, several small pots of herbs would also look fabulous!
Centerpiece 2: This second centerpiece is a fun way to style the wooden crate, I used several simple glass bottles in varying sizes with a few stems of grocery store flowers. This centerpiece is taller and more dramatic and would need to be moved during a meal, but such a pretty look for the table.
Another variation on this centerpiece would be just a collection of empty bottles in the crate- they could be vintage bottles varying in color and size- super simple but very pretty as well!
Centerpiece 3- The third way to style this wood crate would be filling it with several votive or pillar candles of varying heights. I like this idea for winter when it gets dark earlier, it would look so lovely when all the candles were lit and is low enough it would not have to be moved during a meal. It would also be nice to tuck in a few stems of greenery to soften the look.
Centerpiece 4- I saved the best for last…my favorite way to style this wood crate is with a collection of old mason jars filled with a mix of white flowers- some are fresh cut stems some are faux silk stems. Mason jars are nice and low, as are the flowers so it can stay on the table during the meal. I even like to tuck a little starfish into a jar for a coastal touch. This idea could easily change colors with the seasons and various types of flowers.
Thanks so much for joining me today on the blog. I would love to hear your favorite ideas for styling your kitchen table centerpiece. Have a wonderful week!
