How to Add a Little Romance to your Home
It doesn’t take much to add a little touch of romance to your home (and your life!!) Here are my top five fun and inexpensive ways to “rekindle the romance” in your decor!
1. Candles. Instead of one large candle- try grouping several candles in various places around your home- dim the lights for instant romance!
2. Flowers. Think outside the box on traditional red roses- any fresh flower will add romance and life to a room. On a budget? Even a single beautiful stem in a simple bud vase will add beauty and interest to your desk or on a bedside table.
3. Music. Engage all the senses, including the sense of sound. Music can really set the mood so pull out a few old favorite songs or download a mix of soft romantic music- surprise your loved ones and fill your home with wonderful sounds!
4. Memories. Find an old favorite photo of you and your sweetheart and put it in a beautiful frame- display it somewhere special so you can always look back on fond memories.
5. Sweets. Try baking or cooking a new treat- maybe it’s Valentines sugar cookies, or a big plate of brownies…anything yummy to let those you love know they are special…bonus-your house will smell great!
