Football Food: Colorful K-Bobs
Beau says it's football season…
So this month…every Friday, Starfish Cottage is featuring "Football Food" recipes, in honor of football season and today I am sharing one of our favorites- K-Bobs! This year, I have a fun new way to make them…
Introducing a great little tool called "Firewire", a flexible skewer that makes marinating so easy.
So hit the farmers market and pick up some great looking fresh veggies.
Chop them up and skewer them with your favorite meat- we used steak.
Then throw the skewers in a plastic storage bag with some olive oil and spices.
You KNOW it's going to be good when Beau won't leave you alone…
We like to marinate overnight when possible, but at least 30 minutes will work, then throw them on the grill- the "Firewires" make it easy to turn and move the k-bobs around.
The end result…a colorful, beautiful, and healthy meal!
We served it with some saffron rice- so yummy. And don't worry, Beau got a couple of big bites of steak…he's such a goood boy.
K-bobs are perfect for grilling out at a tailgate or while watching the "big game"because all the prep work is done ahead of time. They are also perfect for a large crowd, if you are hosting a party- have fun mixing different meats and veggies and marinades- everyone will have fun trying different flavors.
Enjoy your weekend and "Go NOLES!"
