Blueberry Scone Disaster…
So in keeping with my "blue and white" theme this June, I decided to try making blueberry scones one Saturday for breakfast…I love the ones at Panera and wondered if I could make them as good. (And yes, I used another Ina Garten recipe- you know I always cook her food!)
The ingredients are simple…
I "halved" the recipe, since I did not want to make too many, easy enough…here they are before they get baked…
Here they are right from the oven…look pretty good, right?
And here's how I plated it up…on a pretty "breakfast in bed tray"…good enough to eat right?
and then I took a bite and knew something was terribly wrong…when I "halved" the recipe, I halved everything but the butter, so they were soo heavy with butter they tasted greasy and gross…LOL! Just keepin it real. At least the photos turned out, though!
