6 Easy, Elegant Fall Decor Ideas

Are you tired of the typical fall decor items like bright orange plastic pumpkins and fake fall leaves?  Do you want your fall decor to have a more sophisticated, upscale look?  Over the years, I have shifted away from the bright orange pumpkins and the fake fall foilage and embraced more neutral and natural fall decor elements… today I’m sharing 6 easy and elegant fall decor ideas for your home!

1. Texture-

One way to add subtle interest to your fall decor is by incorporating luxurious textures like velvet, linen, wool, and chunky wovens. These look fabulous, especially when layering various accent pillows and blankets

2. Neutral natural stems-

Instead of using fake fall leaves, consider using fresh-cut magnolia, eucalyptus stems, dried pampas grass, and willow stems. Bringing a touch of nature inside will give your home a more authentic and sophisticated look!

3. Warm wood tones-

Another fabulous way to add cozy fall vibes to your home is with natural wood tones- I love to use large wood trays, breadboard, and dough bowls to add warmth and patina to a room!

4. Rich Metal Finishes-

Consider adding a few rich metal finishes to your room like antique bronze, copper, and brass. A great way to do this is with candle holders, vases, and vessels.

5. Deep, Moody Neutral colors-

If you are using a neutral color scheme this fall, go with sophisticated rich tones like charcoal greys, latte browns, and taupes. An easy way to do this is with your artwork, accent pillows, and throw blankets.

6. White Pumpkins-

My all-time favorite (and easiest) way to add an upscale fall look to your home is with baby white pumpkins- they work in every room- tucked into a bowl, on a tray, or sitting on top of books- they are small and simple but will really give your room a “fall feeling”!
