4 Simple Items that Add a Touch of Fall to Your Decor!

With the kids heading back to school and temperatures starting to cool (everywhere but here in Florida-LOL!) it’s time to add a little touch of fall to your home decor. I love celebrating the change of seasons with seasonal decor and food, but sometimes the “fall decor aisle” of Homegoods and other stores can be overwhelming! Here are 4 simple items that will add fall decor to your home:

1. Pumpkins and gourds- One easy way to add a touch of fall to your home is with pumpkins and seasonal gourds. I prefer using real items, but if you can find realistic-looking faux ones those will also work! Pumpkins and gourds look great everywhere, and the small white pumpkins go with any decor color scheme or style!

2. Fall foliage- Another fabulous way to add a fall look to your home is with fall foliage and flowers. If you live where the leaves turn beautiful colors this time of year- clip a branch or two and add it to a large vase or pitcher. If you can find high-quality faux fall branches, use those! Also consider alternatives like eucalyptus, magnolia, willow branches, and dried grasses like pampas grass.

3. Fall accent pillows+throws- I love to change up the look of my home seasonally and one of my favorite ways is with a variety of accent pillows and throw blankets! Look for colors that have a “fall feel” but still match your home’s existing color scheme. Don’t forget to add texture and a cozy feeling with luxe throw blankets!

4. Fall table/centerpiece-  A really simple way to add a touch of fall to your home is with a fabulous seasonal centerpiece for your dining table. I love to use a tray filled with fall foliage and pumpkins- you can even add a few candles. Another fun idea is to find table linens that add a fall feel- mix them with natural woven placemats for a lux, layered look!
