3 Decor Items Every Room Needs

Did you know that there are three go-to items that professional decorators and stylists use in almost every room they design? These items are super affordable and will add interest, personality, and authenticity to every area of your home. Lets take a closer look at these three essential decor items:

1. Books- hardback books on bookshelves, large photo books on tables, pretty cookbooks in the kitchen- books are one of my most used items! They look great in every room of the house- entries, living rooms, kitchens, and bedrooms.

2. Plants/Flowers- When styling clients’ homes, I always use at least one live plant or vase of flowers per room- preferably more!  Plants and flowers add life and energy to a space. Pro tip: If you don’t have a “green thumb” pothos plants are super easy to care for and look great anywhere! For my clients that want super low-maintenance plants- find a good faux!

3. Candles- I stock up on scented candles, pillar candles, and taper candles, as well as beautiful candleholders, candle sticks, and hurricanes, and use them in every room! They look great (especially when lit at night) and work in every room!
